Elwood F. Cahill, Jr. is a member of the Business Group of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert. His practice is concentrated in commercial real estate, business and finance law, as well as creditors’ rights, workouts and foreclosures and commercial bankruptcy. Mr. Cahill is actively involved with many professional, civic, charitable and trade organizations, including the Real Property Probate & Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association (presently serving as a Supervisory Council Member of the Section’s Governing Council); the American College of Real Estate Lawyers; the American Bankruptcy Institute; the Business Section and the Torts and Insurance (TIPS) Section of the American Bar Association; Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW); and the International Council of Shopping Centers, a trade association that represents the interests of those involved in the shopping center industry. Mr. Cahill is the current President of the Louisiana Bar Foundation; Third Vice President of the New Orleans Bar Association; as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Children’s Hospital in New Orleans.
