Marie A. Moore
Marie A. Moore is a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein McAlister & Hilbert, L.L.C. where she practices in the area of real estate law. She received her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Alabama where she was Order of the Coif and associate editor of the Alabama Law Review. She then served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert S. Vance of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Ms. Moore is a member of the Louisiana State and American bar associations and the Alabama State Bar. She serves as a member of the Louisiana State Law Institute’s Committee for Revision of the Louisiana Civil Code Articles on Lease. Ms. Moore is the co-founder and the inaugural President of New Orleans CREW. In 2003 Ms. Moore was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Louisiana Chapter of the Urban Land Institute. She practices in the areas of commercial leasing and real estate, construction, lending, and general commercial transactions. Ms. Moore has published (i) Comment, Postconviction Remedies in Alabama, 29 Ala., L.Rev. 617 (1978); (ii) Edited and assisted with Personal Property Leases in Louisiana, 44 Louisiana Law Review 755 (1984); and (iii) Is the Collateral Mortgage Obsolete?, 41 Louisiana Bar Journal 529 (1994).
