Project Tour & Design Discussion of The Josephine

Join CREW and SMPS for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of The Josephine, a recently restored historic landmark and recipient of a Louisiana Landmarks Society Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation. Led by Robert Boyd, AIA, of Holly & Smith Architects, this tour and discussion will explore the vision, design, restoration, and adaptive reuse of the former Our Lady of Lourdes Church, originally constructed in 1925.

Attendees will gain insight into the challenges of preserving a long-vacant historic structure, including foundation replacement, dome reconstruction, restoration of significant architectural features, and the integration of modern systems to support its new life as a premier event venue. Experience the completed space firsthand while learning how this landmark was successfully reactivated for contemporary use and reconnected to the New Orleans community.

Following the tour, attendees are invited to stay for networking, light bites, and a cash bar.
