Honoring the Legacy of Katherine Howe Frilot

CREW New Orleans mourns the loss of our friend, mentor, and Past President, Katherine Howe Frilot, whose unexpected passing has left a profound impact on our community.

Katherine’s relationship with CREW spanned many years and multiple chapters. Many members first met her through CREW Network leadership events before she later made New Orleans her home after moving from Texas with her husband, Brian. From the moment she joined CREW New Orleans, Katherine became an integral part of our chapter—offering guidance, perspective, and steady leadership that helped shape who we are today.

Katherine served on the Executive Board and as Past President of both CREW San Antonio and CREW New Orleans. She was deeply committed to advancing CREW’s mission and to mentoring others along the way. Her influence extended far beyond titles; she had a rare ability to strengthen organizations while building genuine relationships.

Professionally, Katherine served as Commercial Manager at Credit Human and was actively involved in her church community at Christ Church Cathedral. She was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by her husband, Brian, and her son, Mark and daughter Cade.

A Lasting Tribute Through the CREW Network Foundation

In honor of Katherine’s life and service, a memorial fund has been established through the CREW Network Foundation. Contributions made in her name support the Foundation’s mission while serving as a lasting tribute to Katherine’s commitment to CREW and its future.

During her lifetime, Katherine contributed $4,570 to the Foundation. With the support of our members and colleagues, donations made through this memorial fund can allow Katherine to be recognized posthumously as a CREW Network Visionary—an honor that reflects her generosity, leadership, and enduring impact.
